Azadeh Shahcheraghi is architect, researcher, writer, designer and art exhibition curator. She is associated professor at SRB-IAU and Founder of PARHIB Architecture Studio. Her recent important project was in Landscape architecture filed.
Her PhD thesis fulfilled on Persian Garden Perception which led Azadeh to write her first book: “Paradigms of Paradise; An Introduction on Recognition and Re-Creation of Persian Garden” in 2010 and reprint each year from that time. The main goal of this book is to find a solution to have more balance between natural and artificial environment in order to achieve a higher level of mental health standards in 21 st century urban life style.
The book won 3 awards, especially National Iran year book in 2011 and that was the First time a young and woman architect got such an award. The book has effect on contemporary Iranian architecture at least in tow levels; the first effect is developing the landscape architecture knowledge especially in hundreds architecture colleges in Iran and their students.
The second effect is reminding professional Iranian Architects how to re-create Persian Garden as a unique and very special, historic, climatic, and cultural, experience in new metropolises in Iran. In this way she designed some new urban park based on this knowledge herself.
Her important projects are; BESSAT Park in Tehran (about 53 Hectares), 3 urban Park in ARAAK and the new project in Sirjan in which she transformed the ancient concept of privacy in Persian Garden Architecture to new urban public plaza.
According to that project Azadeh Shahcheraghi has continue her research in behavioral studies and wrote her second book in collaborating with Alireza Bandarabad in 2015.The book name is “Environed in Environment : Application of Environmental Psychology in Architecture and Urbanism”.
This book has won 3 important national awards and has powerful effect on architecture knowledge in Iran and also on Iranian contemporary professional architecture.

Cooperation with foreign universities in research and judgment such as SAPIENZA University in Rome, Italy, DEAKIN University in GILATEC , Australia. Member of Persian Garden design team in GENEVA, Swiss.
Participation in making documentary film about architecture and landscape architecture such as “IRANIAN GARDEN CARPET”, “NA_ABAAD”, …
She won some national architecture competition and also cooperated judgment landscape architecture competitions.
