Alireza Bandarabad is architect, urban designer and also assistant professor at Faculty of Architecture & Urban Planning, IAU, Central Tehran Branch, Iran and the first dean of the faculty. He got his master’s degree in architecture in 1998. He is also graduated as PhD in urban design and planning with honorable degree in 2010. There are more than 40 papers and two books named “Livable City; Theory to the Meanings” and “Environed in Environment” written by Dr. Bandarabad. Moreover, he has been the supervisor as well as the advisor of several master and doctoral dissertations at the faculty. Dr. Bandarabad has been the member of review board of national and international scientific journals.
He has also conducted consulting activities as architect and urban designer in several projects and competitions. In addition to founding Parhib Group, he has had cooperation with consulting architects including Tarh &Fanavari Bana Consulting Architects, Peyman Ghadir Co., Abadi Consulting Architects, Tajeer Consulting Engineers and Pirraz Consulting Architects since 1998.
Alireza Bandarabad has received several national awards in the field of design and research, including the winner of the biennial award for books on architecture and urban planning in 2013, winner of the book award of Ibn-e- Sina in 2017 and exemplary researcher in 2012 IAU, Central Tehran Branch and top author in 2019, Central Tehran Branch.
He holds the first National Conference on Architecture and Urban Planning, from theory to practice at the Islamic Azad University, collaborates in the production of “NAA-Abad” documentaries on urban views, and also collaborates on television and radio programs in his record of cultural activities.
